Kamumauvector.com – A ray of bright light had approached
Freddy Adu, a football player who had been called the incarnation of pele.

The Swedish third division club, Osterlen FF provided an
opportunity by giving a contract at the end of October 2020. The Ghanaian-born
United States national team player who has been unemployed for almost years.

Unfortunately, after playing for four months at the club,
Freddy Adu was dropped from the club. Because he is considered unable to show
his ability to play football and is considered far behind compared to other
players.

Freddy Adu’s talent at a young age is no longer visible, as
well as his physical condition which has deteriorated greatly due to not
playing on the gridiron for a long time.

No one thought that he would have such bad luck.

I am very surprised to see Freddy Adu’s current career. If
we look at the past, he is a talented football player and one of the young
players who took part in professional matches in the United States in 2003.

At the age of 14, this Ghanaian-born boy had become popular
and became a world football star.

With a strong physique, speed, and sharp goal-scoring
instinct, Freddy Adu is called and is predicted to be the best soccer player in
the world.

Freddy Adu had played at the DC United club as a teenager
who at that time was a former Manchester United tactician, Sir Alex Ferguson,
who also had time to glance at him but failed to get it.

Fergie was really very impressed with his ability, he
continued to monitor Freddy Adu’s progress at that time.

Adu managed to score five goals and three assists in his
first season in the MLS league.

Given his brilliant career at a young age, it is no longer
impossible if he got a call to play in the senior team at the age of 16.

Ferguson was increasingly interested in him, he had the
opportunity to run a trial for two weeks at Old Trafford.

“I am very interested, he (Freddy Adu) is very young. And
we’ve known him for a long time,” said Fergie.

After that, Freddy Adu made an effort to impress all the
supporters at Old Trafford.

Unfortunately, due to the issue of a work permit in the
United Kingdom, he was unable to appear in the competition that Ferguson was
waiting for. And the red devils also couldn’t make an official offer at that
time.

Returning from England, Freddy competed to join Real Salt
but only for six months. Because Benfica wooed him to play in Portugal in 2007.

Unfortunately, edu never got the chance to develop. And he
had to go through the process as a player who was loaned out to other clubs.

From Monaco, France, Greece, Freddy Adu has collected more
reserve status than playing minutes.

In a period of four years, Freddy Adu very rarely became a
starting line-up. As a result, he struggled to regain his confidence.

Freddy Adu returned to America in 2011 slightly embarrassed,
though some fans still consider him special.

He had strengthened the MLS club Philadelphia Union and played
regularly. But he looked different from before, like he had lost something
special about him.

In 2013, Freddy Adu took a risky action by playing in the
Brazilian league which proved to be a bitter pill because he only played in
four matches.

In 2015, his fighting career took a sharp turn and he played
in the second division with the Tampa Bays Rowdies.

In 2017 he failed again after undergoing a trial with Nowy
Sacz club. The Polish team manager said Freddy Adu was a joke.

After that, Las Vegas Light became Freddy’s next stopover
with a pretty bad score while playing at the club. That is only scored one goal
in fifteen games.

In the end, the 31-year-old player at that time was on a
free transfer and was ready to be released for free by his club in December
2018.

Although he had joined FF Osterlen in 2020, his contract was
immediately terminated because he was deemed not ready to play football.

This achievement is a shame for the player who used to be
called the incarnation of the legendary player “pele”.

And he hopes that Freddy Adu’s story can be used as a lesson
for other generations of footballers not to make the wrong choice and learn
from the mistakes he has made.
